Sometime around 2003-2004, W4DBI (Charles) discovered a prayer net on a wide coverage 2 meter repeater located in Dallas, NC, just north of Gastonia.
He enjoyed participating in this weekly net, but soon moved to a different part of Harnett County. Years passed before we were able to construct a tower at our current home, during which time

He enjoyed participating in this weekly net, but soon moved to a different part of Harnett County. Years passed before we were able to construct a tower at our current home, during which time the net ended.
After numerous unsuccessful attempts to reach the former trustee of this repeater or locate anyone who knew the organizer of this net, Charles modeled the Carolina Prayer Net after the format he could recall from the original prayer net on the Dallas repeater.
